Xianwei Wang 

Dr. Wang is a full professor at the School of Geography and Planning, Sun Yat-sen University. He obtained his PhD degree in May 2008 in the Department of Geologic Sciences at the University of Texas, San Antonio,USA, and then worked as a postdoc in the Department of Earth System Science at the University of California, Irvine, before he moved back to Guangzhou in early 2011. He is a member of several professional societies like AGU, AAG, CPGIS, the Chinese Hydraulic Engineering Society and the Geographical Society of China (GSC). He serves as a topic editor for Water and reviewers for many international journals. His research foci include but not limited to Remote sensing and surveying in Hydrology, flood modeling and risk management. He has published over 40 papers at international top journals such as Remote Sensing of Environment, Water Resource Research, Journal of Geophysical Research, Journal of Hydrology, Hydrological Processes, and so on, with SCI citations of over 1500 and H-index=18.
