Qingshan Xu 

Professor and Ph.D. director, is currently the vice dean of the School of Electrical Engineering of Southeast University and the director of the Institute of Intelligent Power Distribution of Southeast University. He also works as an academic leader of the Jiangsu Qinglan Project and a member of Jiangsu Six Summit Talents. Besides, he serves as a member of Jiangsu Electricity Standards Committee and vice-chairman of IEEE PES Technical Committee on Smart Building, Load, and Customer System. Regarding the research area, he has long been engaged in research on intelligent power distribution and flexible power consumption, with the main directions including new energy generation technology, multi-energy complementary integrated energy utilization, intelligent distribution network operation and planning, load flexible regulation and control, and customer-side demand response. In recent years, he has undertaken two National Key Basic Research Programs, four National Natural Science Foundation of China, a Key R&D Program of Jiangsu Province, and an Industry-University-Research Foresight Project of Jiangsu Province. He has published more than 70 papers in domestic and foreign journals such as Energy, IEEE Transaction, and Proceedings of the CSEE, among which 43 papers were indexed by SCI. He has published two individual academic monographs such as Distributed Power Generation and Microgrid and a co-translation, and has applied for 37 national invention patents. He has been awarded one first prize and two second prizes of provincial and ministerial science and technology awards.
